Our founder, Elianna, was born and raised in Piraeus, the biggest port in Greece, and has always had a passion for the sea. All her adolescence memories were built around Pasalimani and Mikrolimano marinas.

Even though she was planning to study Maritime studies at the University of Piraeus, marketing won her! Through her 14 years of experience, Elianna has managed more than 10 brands in different industries.

Her second passion was continuous learning. She was curious about finding new ways how she can develop her skills as well as her team’s skills. Elianna has completed more than 20 executive courses, which help her gain all those diverse transferrable skills.

Early in 2021, she started a project focusing on educating small to medium-sized companies on how to create their digital presence. She gained invaluable experience from those projects, and in the summer of 2022, a new idea was born on a trip to Symi island. The Kapetan project, at which both of her passions were finally combined – sea and upskilling.
